Notes from Tiff: Neglect

Again, I’ve been remiss in my posting. I’m not to quit apologizing so much for it though. It’s easy to post every day, and I need to be doing it, and even easier to “schedule” posts, though I don’t like the “mechanical-ness” of that for this blog.

But the thing is, I get absorbed in reading (and life) and that takes precedence over posting quotes. I’ll try to do better, I promise!

I’m going to be posting a bunch of posts from Room, a book by Emma Donoghue. It’s about a young woman who is abducted while in college and held captive in a garden shed. During this time, she is impregnated twice by her captor, and one baby survives. The story is told from the perspective of Jack, her little boy, who is 5. A very poignant read.
